Working Capital · Invoice Discounting
Your customers pay in 30, 60 or 120 days. Your suppliers, staff and next order cannot wait. Invoice discounting releases the cash tied up in approved invoices, so you can keep trading and take on bigger contracts.
Overview
Across Southern Africa, the businesses that supply governments, mines and large corporates are often the ones most starved of cash. The work is done and the invoice is approved, but payment arrives months later. Meanwhile, the next order needs funding, and banks ask for property or fixed assets as security that a growing supplier often does not have.
Invoice discounting solves this by using the invoice itself as security. AfriTrade Capital advances an agreed percentage of an approved invoice's value upfront. When your customer pays, we release the balance less our fee. The quality of your customer's credit, not the size of your balance sheet, drives the decision.
Because funding is tied to your sales, it grows as you grow. A supplier who wins a larger contract can draw more funding against it, without renegotiating a fixed loan. For cross-border trade, we also handle multi-currency invoices and the documentation that goes with them.
Our team works with your finance function to set up a facility around your real debtor book.
